no-- sorry not going to talk about the BU/Iowa State closed scrimmage except to say that the wroding of Fred Hoiberg's comments suggest he was not real happy with the outcome --

But thru a fee "secret sources ..it is being said..
that Southern Miss clobbered LSU in their closed scrimmage - per Memphis Commercial Appeal sports writer Dan Wolken

Interestingly -- the official Southern Miss web site actually had posted a reported titled
"Eagles dominate LSU in hoops scrimmage"

but they quickly took it down -- however, the twitter link to that release is still up... LOL !

Temple reportedly beat Penn State in a closed scrimmage
Long Beach State beat San Diego


Also a report on one open exhibition of note..
Ohio clobbered Wooster 86-50 and this one is interesting because of the Illinois kids and Ricardo Johnson playing for Ohio..
Wooster played 18 different players...so of course they had no offensive flow and ended 19-53 and only 7-27 from 3-pt
For Ohio -- Ricardo Johnson had 11 pts, 4 rebs, DJ Cooper had 11 pts, 4 asst, and Rico Jonson was 0-3 from 3-pt but the entire rest of his Ohio Bobcats were 11-20!! They drew 2500.

There are rumbles that Marquette beat up pretty badly on Virginia in a closed scrimmage..
and Virginia coach Tony Bennett's comments do little to quiet such rumors...

there were even a couple Virginia players whose tweets were quoted on the Marquette board as saying they got beat bad in the 1st half but did OK in the 2nd half against mostly deeper Marquette subs


I also read "rumor" that Virginia Tech beat Georgetown in their scrimmage..
and supposedly UAB played pretty even with Georgia Tech !


one of Dana Altman's only 9 available players was injured in Oregon's closed scrimmage with Nevada -- in which reportedly Oregon got beaten up -- and now Jay R Stowbridge has a broken nose & dislocated finger and is out a week or two..
