Just got the millenium on hotwire for 49 bucks a night. I'd sleep in the amtrak station for that. They apparently just finished new room upgrades as well. Jump on it while you can. at the end of the day, how much time are you really at the hotel anyway? And with mardi gras at the same time as the tourney, I doubt you'll be able to count on two hands the total hours I'll be at the hotel. This will also be the first Friday at the tournament that I can ever rememnber being able to eat meat since it wont be lent until the next week. So let's recap, relatively close to Jbucks, closer to soulard foir mardi gras, and oh yeah...49 bucks a night...done and done.

Renaissance Haters!
Can't believe for a couple $, and less walking, true, real, BU fans some would abandon the Braves and their followers at the Renaissance Grand Hotel.
I bet DC will be staying at the Renaissance along with Braves, BU admin and staff, cheerleaders, even DR & KW!
Think of all the quality time before and after games you could spend at the Renaissance with KW over a hot bagel and coffee in the restaurant, or a cocktail at the bar there, explaining to him JL was never on the hot seat!BUilding for the Future

Lol never ran into KW at the Renaissance. Parents of players here and there... Plus players and coaches. And uh, drunken revelers.

And at 2:30 the place is empty every year.....

A tip: the parking in the front circle (a la super-convenient) is the same price as the parking in the garage, and they'll keep the same spot for you for your entire stay.

I just realized the Renaissance is a Mariott hotel, and Mardi Gras is the same weekend!!! Great news!
I'm a Marriott rewards member through work and might be able to snag some free rooms. Are any other of the other hotels in the area Marriott-owned? I'd love to be near Soulard for Mardi Gras and am willing to walk to the stadium if I have to (rather be close to a bed when I'm sloppy than when I'm fresh )
Any suggestions??

One of the few good things about the Millenium is how close it is to White Castle late at night.1996 & 2019
