Plenty of talk coming out of some of these closed door scrimmages:

Why? Is Iowa State supposed to suck?

Yes. Only 3 returning players from last season, which wasn't a good season either. Most of the newcomers are either not-ready-for-prime-time freshmen or transfers who have to sit out this season. One of the newcomers (juco) who is being counted on this season is out with an injury right now.

My Cyclones are going to struggle mightily this year. McDermott left nothing behind for Hoiberg. He managed to thoroughly run nearly every player he ever recruited out of town. Not sure why because I liked him when I met him, but that is not worth delving into.

ISU has three returning players in Diante Garrett, a three year starter, Scott Christopherson and Jamie Vanderbeeken. I do not believe Scott, a returning starter, made the trip to Peoria due to injury. DeMarcus Phillips, our JUCO transfer guard that will be relied on heavily is out with a broken hand. That would leave four freshman, a redshirt freshman walk on and senior transfer Jake Anderson from NIU to go with Garrett and Vanderbeeken. If Bradley could not beat ISU with that beaten up roster, than Bradley will have issues. ISU has some talent but Scott and Demarcus are two of our best players and without either there, ISU would not have had much punch IMO.

My view on this tweet is that the BU team did so well that the players lost focus/discipline when things were easy going. Like they were "bored" on the floor with being a good team. Certainly can't have that mentality against good teams as they will fight to the end.
