  • BIZARRE - USC gets commit from 14 year old

If this was April 1st, I'd think it was a joke, but seriously,
Head Coach Tim Floyd and University of Southern California just got a verbal commit from a 14 year old kid, 6'6", who has yet to ever play in a high school basketball game.
    He is Class of 2010.

Cully Payne committed to DePaul as an 8th grader as well. Pretty strange indeed.
    Onward and Upward!

Cully had a few connections/friendships through his dad and uncle that might have had a bearing on Jerry Wainwright's offer.
I can't find anything about this USC kid except that Floyd wanted to lock him up early.

Lots of things can happen in four years.
Sure he dominates now, because he's a 6'6" freshman.
Will he be a D-I player in four years?

Lots of things can happen over a long summer.... just ask the good ole Orange and Blue down at UIUC about that one.
