Here are five things I can't wait to see in the Missouri Valley Conference this season. For in-depth previews on all 10 MVC teams and my one-minute wind sprint, click here.

On another board I post on you get a 6-month ban for posting ESPN Insider articles.......................................... .........so I will try and paraphrase.
Not one article/video besides Bradley's personal article mentions Bradley at all. Bradley's article says we beat UNI twice (wrong) and have 3 fifth year guards (wrong). Then they talk about Warren, Maniscalco, Dodie a bunch.
Warren = Good
SM = Team Leader, Shot Maker
Dodie = Leader
Les thinks Warren will be better because he is focusing on his game and not being healthy like last year. They mention the other guards as pushing the starters. They call Lemon a big-time athlete with EXPLOSIVE leaping ability. They give a blip on prosser and davis..
Les says last year we were young, immature, and young players had to play big minutes.
BACKCOURT: A-
BENCH/DEPTH: C
FRONTCOURT: B
INTANGIBLES: A-
They also think we have potential to do serious damage in conference.
The only player not mentioned is MK
They also mentioned that they discovered TB has poor vision in one of his eyes and will wear goggles this season????????????????
Did we all know this already? Or is this another "pjstar has no access" deal with Basketball events?
I read all the content. 3 full preview articles/videos with no BU mention. It seems like the general consensus is that it's a 4-way race with WSU, MSU, CU, and UNI. Those 4 are getting all the national press and the other 6 pretty much deemed irrelevant, although they're slightly falling in love with The Drake based on their recruiting classes.
The Bradley article (and all other individual team articles) are just pulled from Blue Ribbon, I think.

I saw this too and had a moment of pause. Goggles??? I didn't know that ANYBODY still wore them. I figured we were to the point in eyewear technology that goggles were antiquated thanks to contact lenses. A buddy of mine is an eye doctor, I will email him to ask is he has any idea why somebody would wear goggles.

the bigger question is................why do we find out from ESPN/Blue Ribbon about this....and not from our local basketball coverage

Maybe they plan to have the goggle story be a major part of the annual insert that no other newspaper of their size does. But, it would not be appropriate for the PJS to answer the question of their intent as it might reveal their news sports coverage strategy. So what to make of this? Let me project what I think they would say if they were to answer such a question. Their answer would be, "We didn't know about the goggles."

Would somebody please explain to me the love affair the media has with MSU this year? I realize they won a post-season tournament last year, and probably have a fair number of their players back from last year (including Weems), but I just can't see a top 3 MVC finish this year. Am I just wearing rose-colored glasses, or are they really that much better than BU?

I'm not quite sure. I do think MSU is top-3 quality, but as far as media coverage goes, they're getting the benefit of the doubt to rise to the top that MVC teams traditionally don't get.
It's one of those things where someone pegs a sleeper team, followed by everyone jumping on the sleeper team, turning the sleeper team into a slightly overrated team.

I can see the love affair with MSU before I can see the love for Creighton.
Lawson is a good solid center, but to me, other then Wragge there is nothing returning that says they should be considered a top 4 team this season. I wonder how much having a guy like Echenique is influencing the predictions on CU?

IMO, MSU was the 4th best team in the MVC last season (behind UNI, ISU (red), WSU), despite the final Valley standings. They just couldn't quite close out games on the road.
They return like 90% of their scoring from last season. I think the big question mark is their PG leadership. Not even sure who they have in place of Pickens. They have this Sheer guy - freshman who is supposed to be really good, but he's listed as a FW at 6'4".
I just don't see UNI having the talent/experience to match Missouri St. this season. CU wasn't as good as them last season, so why would they be better than them all of a sudden? I think they are not content with last season's championship of the CIT tourney, and I think it was a good springboard to their success this season. Their frontcourt is solid with Creekmore, Weems, and Mallette, who plays bigger than his size.
BU? We could be better, but why should we be picked in the Top 3?
I'm sticking to MSU at #2 behind WSU, but I can't say I'd be shocked if they finish 4th or 5th.
