I think it's fair, based on the previous year, lack of knowledge on how good the new guys will be, and questions at the 5.

I'll take BU over CU as almost certain, and iffy of passing cuonzo's goons for 2nd. BU will play in session 3 for the first time in at least 6 years next March. No capable big man keeps us from contending for title.

I hope we are contending for the title....I really, really do.

This is about what I expected, although I suppose we feel 'disrespected' despite finishing no higher than tied for 4th since 2001.

As do I, JD. The noon game as the 1 is always the goal...then you likely have the rest of the day to watch the other games and relax. But history tells us you need to have someone in the middle to come out on top. Whether it was UNI's bigs, Drake's big(I count Emenecker as a big), or countless other recent champs, sans maybe SIU's last title, the one common denominator is a true center. We don't have one and havent had one since we got POB. If Egolf is going to be the 5, he would have to improve monumentally. Last year he was timid and had hands of stone too many times.
As for the rest of Reynolds predictions, the only one I think is way off are the trees. Yes, they lost their coach but there are easily two to three other teams IMO that will be worse, one of them likely ISU.

Protect the home court (8-0) and split on the road (4-4). Ill take my chances with 12-4. There is no difference between 4/5 or for that matter 3/6 except 4/5 is jersey color and 3/6 is a death time match.

12-4 gives Bradley a great chance at alot of things but mostly 1st or 2nd. I think it is completely obtainable but it means zero clunkers in Peoria.

It is of the absolute importance that this team is in the running for the conference title on Feb 1st heading into a home game with CU. 11 games prior to Feb 1st, 6 roadies at the likes of CU, WSU, UIN, Drake, Eville and ISUblue. Home to ISUred and blue, MSU, SIU and WSU. The first month of the season is HUGE.

When is the last time BU went 8-0 at home or 7-1 in conference?

I am really angered at Dave over this.

I worry a lot more about where we are picked then where we actually finish.

Where you are picked shows the talent you have, and where you actually finish forces you to deal with injuries and such, that no program can control,

I think Dave is vastly underestimating the talent here.

I have seen Styx...and i think we are in for a Rabey type improvement. He has gotten a lot bigger.

I agree, but would not be surprised to finish higher with the addition of the new coachs

No reason why this team should not win all their home games, win at evansville,Drake,Ind.St. and Siu with another possible win at UNI would give BU a 12-4 or 13-3 record, you have to believe this team has the potential to win these games it is just a matter of doing it now.

I could care less about D.Reynolds pick but just because A.T. is bigger does not mean he is tougher, I hope you are right about him but I will know a lot more about him once I see the red-white and Quincy game.
