Since most of us do not have tickets for the BU-Duke game, how about the Braves Club or the Alumni Association hosting a viewing party at the new arena? Having a lot of us viewing the game on the big screens would be a lot more exciting that sitting at home and watching the game.

Bradley-Duke game
I'm aware that BU is planning to host the game at the Student Center and also at Lydia's Lounge. Reason for this location appears to be that the arena is TOO BIG. Watching the game on TV sets that will be brought in or on screens using a portable projection system is not quite the same as watching the game on the big screens in the arena. Drop Dr. Cross a note and maybe that thinking can change.

Since the MRS. and I just decided to take a pass on traveling to Durham to see us play Duke, I am going to encourage some of you to consider the following:
1. "BU at Duke" currently $140 per ticket on stubhub lots of tix available.
2. Round trip from Bloomington to Raleigh-Durham $211 on American, flights everyday.
Hopefully you have better persuasion skills than I do!

Hey Guys,
The Red Sea has been in conversations with the Athletic Department about a viewing party at the arena. The only fear they have is about attendance. The reason being is that they can't sell alcohol on campus and the game is on ESPN2. They feel like since it is on national TV most people would rather go to the bars and drink and watch the game then come to the Arena for the atmosphere.

If you remember, a few years back they sold beer at one of the scrimmages in the Fieldhouse that was combined with another event. I asked one of the promotions people that I knew "why can we sell beer?" and was told it was considered a "special event."
