Any chance we can sticky this... and add to it as the season gets closer and we see more games available against opponents?

Here are some non-conf. games (before MVC season) that I may check a peek at:

        11/16 Northeastern @ SIU ESPN 9:00 am
(Let's see how SIU responds to their drubbing from the Illini a few days earlier. I want to see what their new stadium looks like too.)

        11/22 Wichita St vs. Connecticut ESPN2 2:00
(The expected best team in the Valley has a LOT to prove)

        11/28 Creighton @ Northwestern BTN 6:30 or 7:30
(NU has been tough in the early going before the B-10 season starts. Good early test for the 'Jays...they don't have too many in non-conf.)

12/1 Michigan St @ Duke ESPN 8:30 (Duke preview)
(Get a glimpse of the Mighty Dukies to see what we're in for a week later)

        12/4 No Iowa @ TCU Mtn 1:00
(See if UNI is a contender and see if TCU is any better than last year)

12/4 Wichita St @ San Diego St Mtn 9:00 pm
(A good match-up pitting a couple potential NCAA tourney teams)

        12/8 North Carolina @ Evansville ESPNU 6:00
(I don't think there are any other good games on this night ha ha!)

        12/8 Bradley @ Duke ESPN2 8:00
(Well, THIS one could be interesting!)

Can someone fill me in again on why UNC is visiting Evansville?

I can think of two reasons.....

--one is that many top teams are playing one game as a true road game, but they are careful to select a team they know they are not going to lose to...
this helps get the team ready for playing on the road...

            Maryland played AT NC-Greensboro
            Virginia Tech played AT Campbell
            Wake Forest played at NC-Wilmington
            Georgia Tech played at UT-Chattanooga
Arizona played at San Diego State
            Clemson played at East Carolina
West Virginia played at Cleveland State!!
            Georgetown played at Savannah State!!!!!!

--the other reason is that a coach often schedules ONE game on the road in or near the home town of a certain one of his players to have all his family be able to attend..
The game at Evansville is likely so Tyler Zeller play in front of his homies and help recruit his younger bro Cody Zeller...
Tyler Zeller's hometown of Washington, IN is only about 50 mi. from Evansville.

              VERY STRATEGIC.

I guess that is like Illinois' only true road game being at WMU...although WMU is not a guarantee.

              Makes good sense

Well it's about time some of these teams play at least one road game!

Looking at this list, I can easily see Cleveland State and San Diego State pulling off upsets. Cleveland St. just came off an NCAA tournament appearance while SD St. is an NCAA tournament contender this year.

SDSU beating Arizona at home isn't an upset this year.

I wouldn't go that far... Winning in McKale is never an easy place to win. SDSU will almost assuredly be underdogs going in and will be very greatful to come away with a win.

The game is the first to be televised on WTVP-World channel.

WTVP-World broadcast in high definition on channel 47.2. It is also on Comcast cable channel 218 and Mediacom channel 22.
