That is why his teams are THUG.

And remember he did lay all over De'Sean Butler and fondle him.

I wouldn't be concerned, he signed his letter of intent to Bradley. Any non-Bradley coach that tries to talk to him now would be tampering.
cpacmel- can you give any example where a college coach has been present for a recruit's signing? Especially on the first day of the signing period?.

I believe it would be a violation for any college coach to be present at a kid's signing, if it is during a period listed as a "dead period" by the NCAA.
November 8-11 was an NCAA mandated "dead period"-

Donivine signed on the first day of the signing period- Nov 10., according to this Bradley release-
      http://www.bradleybraves.com/ViewArt...CLID=205028489
so that would have been during the dead period when any "in person" contact was a violation.
      Definition of "dead period"- http://basketball.about.com/od/colle...deadperiod.htm

So I do not know how it could have happened, but I wouldn't put it past some coaches who really want a kid (ala Jerry Wainwright visiting Manual Cass during a similar "dead period" to deliver the LOI and beat out Bradley).

However, I am not worried about Donivine. He is solidly committed to Bradley. And he is now signed.

given how publicity hungry many coaches are -- wouldn't they make every effort to be there and be part of the ceremony -- yet I agree with Da Coach, that I have never seen it happen even one time..never--

and I do believe the final week leading up to the signing period and the week of the signing period have been so designated as dead periods for this very reason to avoid the circus of coaches camping on the kid's doorstep to pull a "Calipari" and get the kid to change his mind at the last second!

I don't know about coaches being present at recruit's signing, but I know that coaches have been at schools the day of a player's signing (mostly in the mornings) I can name several MVC head coaches that have done it in the last 5 years.

Turn them in then! It wouldn't be hard to prove, right? Just pictures or video his signing.

Or is time and effort being spent on trying to prove John Wilkins was ineligible to play against QUINCY?

Of course, all of the above is said in jest.

you say you know it has happened -- then cite one documented example, please..

plus -- it isn't a violation to walk thru the doors of a school during an evaluation period, but you still cannot contact the player or parents --
it is a violation to have contact with a recruit during a dead period OR an evaluation period...so clear up your statement -- do you say you know for a fact, that "several" MVC coaches have made such contact??
Again -- if so then cite your evidence other than "I just know it"

Definition of "Dead Period"..from NCAA's 2010-2011 Handbook for Student Athletes..
"A college coach may not have any in-person
contact with you or your parents on or off campus at any time
            during a dead period."

Even after the Dead Period at the start of the LOI signing period...it is an "Evaluation Period"
            which means...
" ..coaches cannot have any in-person conversations with the possible recruit or the parents off the college’s campus."

How am I supposed to doucment conversations I have had with people in person?

You want to believe it hasn't happened, so be it.

              I know differently.

I take it you don't believe the report that it just happened with West Va and Stewart?

quite the opposite -- I know coaches cheat all the time -- so I believe it--
I just would like to see it made public since those cheaters need to be penalized....
