correct, but all ABA records have rolled over and are counted along with NBA records -- there are no asterisks...it was part of the agreement when the leagues merged..

The NBA assumes ABA stats in most cases. The old ABA teams were actually conderably better than the NBA teams of the time. The ABA is considered the turning point that modernized basketball with things like introducing the three point line and popularizing the dunk. I believe the ABA had Dr. J who was regarded as the best player of the day...

If you haven't read Loose Balls by Terry Pluto I strongly suggest it. Great book about the ABA and Levern Tart is mentioned in it quite a bit. Great read.
