Peoria Richwoods Coach Mike Ellis hired as new coach at Evanston HS

Richwoods boys basketball coach Mike Ellis is leaving one of the best coaching jobs in downstate Illinois for one considered among the best in the Chicago area. Ellis, 40, is the new coach at Evanston, effective immediately.

The previous coach was Bobby Locke who left to take over the vacancy at Chicago Brooks HS.

Interesting happenings..

Not sure on the behind the scenes...But seems like one of the best jobs in the state just opened up at a strange time.

I am sure EB's name will come up. Not sure of the assistants there.
