Writer calls for Big East to give DePaul the boot

so -- why pick on DePaul??? Honestly -- there are half a dozen other Big East schools that don't do football,
and although Rutgers has a 130 year history of football, the first 75 years were spent playing mostly against high schools and obscure, tiny little colleges nobody's ever heard of...and they don't exactly have the strongest recent tradition either...having winless seasons within the past decade......
and get this....in the past nearly 20 years --
Rutgers has a mere 1.7 more conference wins per year that DePaul does, and DePaul doesn't even have a football team!!!

The Big East is a ticking time bomb. Someone's going to get their feelings hurt in that conference within 5 years, guaranteed. DePaul has a pretty good chance of being one of those programs.

The Big East didn't do itself any favors expanding they way they did. They have too many teams that don't do football or are not that good at football. Basketball is not treat either with a number of teams that are not that good either!

Agree that schools are going to get upset and have feelings hurt.
