Bradley recruit Fred Ellis, from Sacramento, verballed yesterday to Baylor.

Baylor University never got to see Fred Ellis play in the summer but he???‚¬?„?ll be on campus in the fall of 2007. The 6-foot-6 combo forward out of Sacramento (Calif.) High, committed to the Bears after considering SMU, Bradley and Columbia.

Unfortunately for Bradley, the idea of playing in the Big 12 appealed to him.

I hate to see that I know the staff spent a lot of time on him and really wanted him. It looks like a JUCO big man for the last ride more and more now.

After looking at the last couple years of recruits that Scott Drew has gotten at Baylor, I wonder why Fred Ellis would want to go there. They have a ton of talent returning, and a number of big men that Ellis will struggle to get playing time against.
