Great for Team USA to win. We're back at the top of the basketball world. With all these young players, we should hopefully stay here for a while yet.
Kevin Durant is a lock for the Olympic team. I wonder who from the '08 team will return for the '12 Olympics because I really like some of the young players we have right now. With Chris Paul and Deron Williams possibly returning, it'd be tough to find a place for Westbrook and maybe even Rose, who didn't do as well in the latter part of the tournament.

Hmm...so how valuable was playing four years of college ball for these guys??
Of the 12 players on the USA squad..only one came close to playing four years in college...and that was Danny Granger who used his 4 years of eligibility but really only played about 3 years' worth of college ball due to his quitting and transferring....and anyway -- Granger turned out to be just about the least valuable player of the 12 on the squad.
Curry played 3 years -- but again -- he didn't contribute much.
The players who made the difference only spent a year or two in college, and the total was less than 20 years of college play for the 12 players on the squad.....an average of about 1.6 years of college play per member of the roster.
