Yesterday 10/13.......a new all time record for users online was shattered with 90 ........it might have something to do with the gordon and get even post for the illini fans?
The thread about getting even went up around 6:02PM on our board, but someone posted a link to the discussion here over on the illiniboard at about 6:10PM.
Then a few minutes later, this board was suddenly getting a lot of traffic, and between 60-90 people were online at one time, peaking at 90 right at 6:18PM.
I also noted that the Indiana board and the Illinois boards were likewise setting all time records with thousands of people online simultaneously.****
(The Peegs/Indiana Rivals board lists their record at 3,940 people simultaneously onlinie last evening at around 6PM, 10/13/06, likewise, the Illinois Rivals site set their all time record at exactly the same time.)
****By the way, it is quite clear that if the Rivals site claims they had 3,940 people online at once, that is an outright misstatement, since they count every window that's open as a separate person online. So if one viewer opens 10 windows to read numerous posts at the same time, he is counted 10 times.
Only the Rivals sites count their people this way, so the true number online at once is likely more along the line of a quarter or half that number.
Even the PJS board with all their different forums, high school, college, football, etc. and their 8 years of history and nearly 10,000 people signed up has never exceeded 200 online at once.
