  • MJ's kids twitter vacation!

According to his twitter account, Marcus spent $50k in a day in Vegas. And... according to the Chicago Tribune, Marcus is under 21 years old! oops!

Be careful what you tweet guys!

Really bad Jeff Jordan Vegas pool video included with link.
    Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

Its a lot of money but they have a lot of money, so what is the problem?

The article did not say that Marcus spent his money gambling, or booze or really anything just says they spent a lot of money.

I do not see what the deal is and why this is news other then they are Jordans' kids.

I agree that it is a lame news story, but I did state "be careful what you tweet guys"! Doesn't a person have to be 21 to go to nightclubs etc in Vegas? I doubt Marcus spent $50k on Pepsi's for his friends! I have never been to Vegas, and it ranks really low on places I want to go so that is why I am asking.

My thoughts exactly. There is a LOT of very expensive shopping to be done in Vegas. Not to mention the hotels and food.

If you have the money, it would not be hard to do!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

          Two things though...
The article mentioned that he didn't spend the money on shopping but at a nightclub called Haze! ($35k) (Now I fully admit that I got into more than my share of bars while under 21)

There was a UCF teammate with the Jordans! Did MJ give that kid money and or pay for the teammates expenses to get to Vegas? If he did, wouldn't that be an NCAA violation? --probably at least a grey area I am sure)

BTW....It would be very easy to blow through $50K in Vegas non-Gambling. I'm just not sure if it all would be legal for someone underage.

                that page has been removed

--but seriously why do we focus so much on what kids tweet...it's kinda like overhearing them talking on the playground or
maybe hearing what they say in the gym during practice and then holding them accountable for the veracity or precision of their claims...
I have seen numerous college player tweets that use the foulest derogatory remarks about women, booze, and use of the N-word....
time simply wouldn't permit even listing them all, but yet it's national news now and then....

Very easy to do, could be done withou leaving your hotel in many instances.

It's a shame that the kid is so insecure that he felt the need to brag on twitter. Many will now suffer for his indiscretion. Good job raising your kids Mike. But then again, it's always ALL about Mike. Isn't it?

Ok the gaming authorities are in on this now because of the publicity, but I wonder if the NCAA will get involved

More evidence that the programs that ban the use of Twitter are the smarter ones.

                              I would agree
