Tough to find a team with better seniors than us... maybe MSU. Hopefully having to go through those injuries to AW and DD pay off this year, it always seems that mid major teams who make big impact in the tourney have seniors and 5th yr. seniors.

Wonder if Carlton Fay ever wish he would have went to Bradley?

He is a very good player stuck in a program that has self distructed right in front of his eyes.

For me the Senior Stud starts and ends with Sammy. He plays and presents himself the way I wish ever single basketball player would. Infact I think we have 3 great people as our seniors.

Kwadzo Ahelegbe and Lawson are studs who Ill be happy to see move on. Both have been BU killers.

Pretty much what I was going to write. Fay's 4 years have flown by and Lawson seems to have been around forever. Can't say I'll miss Lawson once this season ends.

Biggest Senior Stud making the biggest impact in the MVC this year will be none other than the new Dean of MVC Coaches, "Senior" Coach Les.

Will this be the year he finally leads his team of very talented upperclass veterans and promising underclass players to a MVC or MVC Tournament Title?

This should be JL's best shot since 05-06, and his coaching performance will be key to determining the MVC Championship....for BU..

Lawson will actually have spent 5 years at Crieghont - he redshirted one year so he seems like he's been there almost as long as Sam Singh
Lawson was a 4-Star and one of the highest rated recruits the Valley had ever had at that point.

Even a BU fan is leaving off our best player from their top 5. I hope he does go under the radar. One thing about AW is that he'll have a whole year and summer to play ball. I expect some big scoring numbers from him and I'll be surprised if he does not lead the team in scoring.

AW is way to soft to be a stud.

AW is one player that we have that has the complete capacity to carry a team. Last year he was coming back from sitting not playing for a complete year. I'd like to see how other athletes would look from not playing, practicing or for that fact running for a whole year. I guess we will just have to see what he is made of but IMO by the end of the year he'll have cleared out any doubts a few of you have.

He has a chance its just a matter of how bad he really wants it. I hope he threw that fall away turnaround jumper in the trash.

until i can see that he is soft as butter AW, Sam is a supreme stud

Makes me think this year's motto should be: "No Excuses".

I wouldn't think so. Most of the players on this team have played together for two full years at least.

Unless, of course, you were referring to the "experience" of our staff. I wouldn't expect that to be an excuse this year either.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

Obviously, I think we have three solid seniors. Outside of Peoria, there are many senior studs in the league this year. In no order...

                              1. Lawson should be a beast. Maybe 16-8 stud.
                              2. Wedel is simply a stud shooter. He could average 15ppg
                              3. Jake Kelly will finally get a chance - another possible 15ppg
                              4. All four MSU guys will contribute - great supporting cast around Weems
                              5. Kwadzo is a stud - his numbers won't impress you, but he's the best player on that team
                              6. Fay is a stud stuck in the mud (rhyme) in Carbondale
                              7. With 30-32mpg, Durley could get to 16-7 per game
Don't putt until the cup stops movin'
