Howard Moore's bio-
He started at Bradley in 1999, under Jim Molinari, but he remained an assistant through the 2002-2003 season, spending 1 year under Jim Les.
Little known fact- Howard had a lot to do with several of the BU players in 2002 staying at Bradley after Jim Molinari left. Danny Granger would have left if not for Howard, though Danny only ended up staying for 1 semester. But Marcello Robinson, James Gillingham, and Phil Gilbert were also very close to Howard, and he had a bit to do with them staying at Bradley.

uh-oh -- not so fast...reportedly there's some red tape holding this up..
thus far he has not gotten an official offer for the position, but it should be solved soon...

Howard Moore hires his first assistant- Donnie Kirksey
Donnie Kirskey has been an assistant previously at Chicago State and DePaul, and for the past 3 seasons he has coached at Chicago Hyde Park High School, where he has produced a record of 71-18.
It might be more than a coincidence that a former star player under Kirksey at Hyde Park, Fabyon Harris (2010 grad), just requested a release from his LOI at SMU, and is now back in Chicago looking for a new school to enroll at. I don't know if this might fall under the NCAA's new rule about hiring someone who has connections to a kid you are recruiting, but I won't be surprised to see Harris at UIC.
Unlike the situation at DePaul, where Oliver Purnell was hired over a number of candidates with strong Chicago connections, and several assistants from Chicago were also let go, UIC appears to be putting all their efforts in rebuilding their Chicago recruiting connections. In the past few years, former UIC coach Jimmy Collins had only 1 or 2 scholarship players on his roster each year who were from Chicago, despite being known as a great recruiter and having the richest talent base at his doorstep.

Wow, former Chicago Hyde Park HS star Fabyon Harris, who was a Bradley recruit at one time long ago, left the University of Houston just last week, and enrolled at Howard Junior College in Texas. But before he ever attended his first class, he was arrested on a charge of stealing a TV from Wal-Mart, and has been dismissed from the team-

Harris, who has a ton of personal baggage, had previously been committed to Northern Colorado, SMU, then Houston, but asked for his release from Houston within days after he arrived there last month.
One of the other basketball team members dismissed for the burglary was Phillip Jackson, also a Chicago kid who played at Hyde Park, who was recruited heavily by SIU and Illinois State before committing to Nevada.-
