But there's little shame in losing to Duke on the road, but bigger concerns about losing a home game to Niagara...

NCAA needs to provide incentive for schools to schedule tougher Non Con games, or, Non Con road games.
If a school goes .500 or less in a tougher Non Con, but wins their conference/conference tourney and/or gets a NCAA/NIT bid, don't think a coaches job would be in jepoardy...
Coaches that aren't successful in conference play or conference tourneys rely on padding Non Con schedule to try and make their program look better and to lock up NCAA/NIT at large bids to keep their jobs.
NCAA can help eliminate that by ignoring Non Con wins against lessor opponents, particularly home games, when deciding at large bids. Of course that would pi$$ off major conference schools so it won't happen...BUilding for the Future

Bradley appears to have added another game-
Loyola Marymount, one of the teams in the Hall of Fame Classic, has apparently agreed to play at Bradley November 17, on their way to travelling to Springfield, Mass., according to their schedule posted on the team's website-

-that this Nov. 17 game IS the game in the tournament

I think the preliminary games may have been axed, but the 2 games in Massachusetts are still on. I think the loss of those 2 guaranteed home games is why Bradley is now scrambling to add games.
Also, here is their twitter page which has been recently updated-
It states-
The Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament will take place at the MassMutual Center on Sat, Nov. 20th & Sun, Nov 21st. 8 schools - 2 brackets - 4 teams
The site previously listed preliminary games on campuses, but has now removed that part of the description of the tournament.
Here was the lastest speculation-

So if reading that right we'll still be able to play USC and either UMass or New Mexico-- we'll just have to replace the home games with other home games (potentially against the same opponents we would have played-- Loyola Marymount and TCU would be nice)?

Plus their website now clearly states- All games played at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts
And their twitter states only this- ....Tournament will take place at the MassMutual Center on Sat, Nov. 20th & Sun, Nov 21st.

But I have to believe the preliminary games on the college campuses have been eliminated, or why would there be no mention of any of those games now on the college sites or on the tournament site.

There is nothing new about all teams playing in Springfield. Thought it was a better idea than the Legends Classic, which had Div II teams in the opening round. By having all teams play in Springfield, the quality of the home games would be better. My speculation on the USC Dec 1st game is that the eight team is almost signed and has scheduling conflicts. We should find out in the next few weeks. Last week was filled with Hall of Fame Enshrinement events.
The following quote is from May 12th. http://www.hoophall.com/news/2010/5/...es-for-20.html
