WOW, close game, but 4 in a row, won it 81-79. Two Americans on the German team. Read coach Price's brief description of the game.

      Scoring for today's game just completed...W 81-79

      D.J. Byrd (Purdue) - 1
      Ryan Evans (Wisconsin) - 8
      Dyricus Simms-Edwards (Bradley) - 7
Gene Teague (Southern Illinois) - 13
Adam Leonard (Missouri State) - 17
      Seth VanDeest (Drake) - 2
      Ben Simons (Drake) - 5
Tyler Laser (Eastern Illinois) - 14
      Tyler Griffey (Illinois) - 5
      Brandon Paul (Illinois) - 9

A little more -- this team they played finished 23-7 this past spring and was one of the top two teams in their Pro league (just a notch below their top pro league) and they are a very high scoring team with 5 guys averaging in double digits)

Let's hope DSE ended on a high note - seemed to play solid throughout.
I wonder how his 3-pt. shooting has been? (not that we're counting on him as the go-to 3-pt. specialist this season)

I think TB benefited more than anyone on the Braves summer trip last summer. We saw a real jump in his game last season.

Hoping the same will happen to DSE, though he contributed more than TB, comparing their freshman seasons.

Real nice game for Dyricus as I am sure he was good for 3 steals 5 assists and a couple rebounds too! That's great to see. Thanks DC!

                    4 dunks!??

I don't remember 1 from last season - saw about half the games.
I have no doubt he can - he's got good hops and gets to the rack frequently.
The Valley trio of Leonard, DSE, and Van Deest had very good production in the tournament.

Happy for DSE - we are in for a treat this year with our guard play!

Not sure how accurate this is as it was difficult following the different reports from Coach Price and DSE...

                      DSE Scoring
Game 1 8 pts (12 pts per DSE)
                      Game 2 2 pts
Game 3 13 pts (16 pts per DSE)
Game 4 7 pts (10 pts per DSE)
                      Game 5 18 pts
48 pts (58 pts per DSE)
9.6 ppg (11.6 ppg per DSE)

                      Is this about right?

                      Good job DSE!
