???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
I wanted to nab him the first time I read Coach Corn's assessment of him as a player. Speaking of, haven't heard much from Yuba or CC in a while. Also, does anyone have Sean's stats from his 1 year at Yuba?
"The Bradley Braves fans will have to wait until the 2010-2011 season to see Harris play because he'll be heading out on a Mormon Mission beginning this August. Harris, (FR) 6-foot-7 (210), will have three years to play when he returns. The Rocklin, CA native averaged 14.9 ppg and 11.7 rebounds this season for (32-4) Yuba College. Harris joins Zach Andrews and Lawrence Wright as former Yuba College players making it to Peoria. Andrews and Wright were on the NCAA tournament Sweet Sixteen team in 2006."
BTW -- I have a saved personal communication from Coach Cornelius that said Sean's scoring average was actually over 17 ppg
and 2 blocks per game, but that site went with the league (conference) averages.
