regardless of where he went, had he gone to a D-I he'd have had to sit out this year,
and the choice of going to juco is generally for two reasons...you get to play right away,
plus the top juco kids every year become hot commodities for schools that have player departures and open scholarships.
By next spring, if he's any good at all, he'll get lots of offers. We saw this year how even Duke was going after juco kids,
and absolute no-name kids who averaged in the single digits were getting offers from Big Ten schools,
and players like Robert Goff, who couldn't make a basket from more than a step away from the hoop, was getting all kinds of BCS offers..

I've heard there might have been academic issues with Colvin, as there were with Darius Smith. He should do well at Palm Beach CC. They play in the Southern Conference with a bunch of pretty good teams loaded with D1 talent. There are a lot of high scoring games and very little defense is played there. Colvin should put up some good numbers.

By the way, Palm Beach State College has a student enrollment of 14,710 - gotta be one of the largest junior colleges in the country!

Palm Beach is not a bad place to be either. I use to fly into there every year before school started to spend some time with a friend before we drove up to Peoria. I'm just not sure if you can concentrate much on your studies.

Chris Colvin is shopping around and is said to now be leaning to Arizona State..
