The Bradley schedule has not been released officially, yet, but here are a couple more additional bits of news about it from other team's schedules that have been released.

The game at Western Carolina University is scheduled for Tuesday, November 30, 2010, according to WCU schedule, just released-

And here is more news about the teams playing in the Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament on Nov. 20-21 at the MassMutual Center.
It appears there are now 7 teams named of the 8 teams in the tournament.
According to this release by Texas Christian University (Mountain West), TCU will join USC (Pac-12), Bradley (MVC), Loyola-Marymount (West Coast Conference), Massachusetts (Atlantic-10), Rider (MAAC) and New Mexico State (WAC) in the tournament. That leaves 1 more team to be named before we might know who Bradley's opponents are, and the dates for the 2 BU home games.
BU, USC, NMSU, and UMass are the 4 host schools.

TCU, Rider, and L-M are actually pretty good bottom-half fillers for a tournament, all things considered. Mildly impressed.

TCU is saying 3 games in Springfield, with the 3rd game on 11/23 (though not in chronological order either) and they do not list any games before their neutral vs Rider as a "prelim" or as part of the event.

So is the format different for the HOF now?

I don't know, but I think it is possible that the Nov. 23 date TCU has posted on their schedule is simply a typo or other error. This would be a huge change in the format of the tournament, and yet no other source, including all the other schools in the tournament, are reporting this.
But if that was true, it would mean the tournament would stretch over until Tuesday, Nov. 23, which could interfere with other games the participating teams have scheduled, and would increase expenses incurred by all the teams for travel and accomodations tremendously. It would also make it virtually impossible for fans to stay and see the tournament championship games.

Well, TCU and LMU would be a MAJOR upgrade over the likes of Presbyterian, MD-Eastern Shore, FAMU, and the like that we've gotten at home in our previous exempt tournaments in both name and quality. TCU had an RPI of 188 in the Mountain West last year, while LMU had an RPI of 175 in the WCC. While it's not earth-shattering, it's a heck of a lot better than Presbyterian with an RPI of 329. If our worst RPI games are going to be in the mid-100's, we have the makings of a great non-con schedule. Now we just gotta win.

Note they have their schedule posted there at the bottom of the page.
It also shows them playing Rider on Nov. 20, TBA on Nov. 21, and UMass on Nov. 23. But the UMass game is slated to be played on the UMass home court in Amherst, MA, instead of in Springfield, MA where the tournament is. Since they are in the "lower bracket", they would not play UMass in the tournament, so maybe TCU just arranged an extra road game at UMass while on the trip out east.
They also have a couple home games scheduled Nov. 12 & 16, so I don't see where they would fit the additional 2 road games they would play as part of the Hall of Fame Tournament.

Why would you expect for us to win at Western Carolina? Let alone win both games in Springfield? I would be very surprised if we were facing Utah and did not have a lose.

I have no idea how anyone could discount the Western Carolina game after the way they beat us last year on our court. They return a deep big team.

I agree. I was watching the DSE interview regarding him going to Europe, very happy for him, and they showed 3 plays during the interview, on one there's 4 players out near the three point line, including WE, I'm sure that's where he was told to be, while DSE is driving to the basket with no one to get a rebound or tip in.

The only way this is going to change is to play bigger and change our offensive schemes and run plays for our bigger players, low pick and rolls rather than high pick and rolls out by the three point line, which would keep our bigger players nearer the basket so we can get some offensive rebounds.

The one guy that sticks in my my mind was Xavier McDaniel. We drove down from the Chicago area to see that game. He was rarely ever more than 5 feet away from the basket on offense, he just got there and stood there - that was his spot and no one took it away from him, think he had 20 rebounds that game.

The X-man was determined to show Bradley that night that his leading the country in rebounding was not a fluke. Bradley coach Dick Versace had made the mistake of commenting publically that he didn't believe McDaniel really got all the rebounds he was credited with, and that his home stats crew had probably "padded his stats". He proved his point with a 20-rebound game at the Carver Arena.

Eastern IL may not be a great opponent, but it's not terrible either. They came on strong the 2nd half of their conf. season.
They return several key players, but a couple guys that hoarded the boards last season will be gone. Maybe they have some incoming beef for 2010-'11.

I guess I expect to beat every single Southern Conference team, whether we play them at Carver, Markin, on Moss ave, Bradley park, Anchorage AK, or Serbia.

Last year one team played very bad, one team played very well. As long as the guys don't go lay another egg there, it will be a 10+ pt victory.

If we can't go on the road and beat the 3rd place team from the 17th ranked conference, I really would give up any hope for the year.

I started to give up when we lost to that team at Carver last year (Loyola and SIU drove in the final nails to that season's coffin). I'm not expecting a win on the road, but I am more likely to keep hope alive with a road slip-up than a home failure.
