Looking ahead now to next year's Junior class.
Who will be the 5 Valley juniors who will make the most impact?
Feel free to comment from a statistical viewpoint or other aspect of their game you think will improve to better their team.
My thoughts:
(No particular ranking)
1) Taylor Brown (BU) - one of the top scorers in league play last season will likely get even better. Maybe the best pure scorer in the league that can score in multiple ways. He will be called on to pick up the slack in rebounding - and pick up some key offensive boards as well.
2) Antoine Young (CU) - When Young started playing well last season, the Jays picked up more wins. Struggled a bit as a sophomore, but is a good penetrator. I think he'll get better as a perimeter shooter this season too. When you look at CU's success since 1998, it hinges on solid PG play.
3) Dwayne Lathan (ISU-blue) - When he was injured last season, his absence was felt. He adds another dimension to this team in his athleticism.
4) Kyle Weems (MSU) - I don't think he'll torch every team like he did vs. BU at home last season, but he has the potential to score 20+ in most games. He's an all-around solid player.
5) Toure' Murry (WSU) - had to take Murry over teammate Garret Stutz by a hair, though Stutz has him by 6 inches or so. He does everything his team needs to win and is very unselfish - he just wants to win and he'll lead the Shockers to many of them.
