It is always interesting to go back in time and see what was predicted/posted on BF.com and how things ultimately turned out, wether by posters on this site, or, the various publications/polls!

It IS amazing how publications can get facts so incorrect. You'd think they would have editors or proof readers to check out the stories before they are published.

They have Wright State pretty significantly overrated. I'll have them 6th or (probably) 7th when I do my Horizon League projection. They're probably in for a tough go of it for a few years. Valpo is going to be much better than these sort of guys would know about.

The Sports Bank -- comes in with Bradley at #73, right ahead of Central Florida & Wake Forest
Northern Iowa represented for the Missouri Valley Conference in NCAA Tournament by knocking off everyone’s favorite, Kansas.  The MVC figures to once again be one of the most competitive mid-major conferences in the country and Bradley should make their fare share of noise. The Sports Bank’s 99 in 99 breaks down the 72 power conference […]

Their research is pretty good, but they claim Bradley has a SG named Jake Warren, and another named Maniscalo
They also say that UNI and Wichita are ahead of them in the ranking...

These guys are one of the only sources that actually hit this one on the head instead of trashing BU for their frontcourt....
"However, there are not a lot of Missouri Valley Conference teams that possess extremely talented, physical post players
so I doubt their inexperience down low will not be a detrimental to their season."

CHN continues....I suspect most of these teams would finish 9-10th in the Valley - or playing against teams inside the top 200!

                  #115 Boston Univ.
                  #114 Harvard
                  #113 Louisiana Tech
#112 Winthrop (best win lastyear was over RPI 160 Coastal Carolina!)
#111 Stony Brook (didn't beat a single team last yr with RPI <120, and 15 of their wins were over >280 RPI's!)

The Hoops Report ranks Wichita State at #40 -- but note the reader comments..

Wow.....that is a hard sentence to read. He's doubting that it won't be "a detrimental" to the season?
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I think it's funny you post this on 9-1 and will give them "absolutely no further consideration, they are jerks" and then on 9-7 when lo and behold Bradley appears, you say they've done pretty good research. Cmon man, you can't have it both ways, you lose all credibility.

no--- you can do a lot of research and still come up with a bunch of stupid things and lose credibility.... why not??
I stand by my statement and even gave sufficient examples like the Jake Warren thing....clearly they did some digging but the still boneheaded it...
And always giving credit where due, I applauded them since they are about the only site that acknowledges few of the Valley teams have depth in the post, while many previews nail Bradley on that as they hypocritically give everyone else a pass.

But yet again, you conveniently avoid my direct point in my post where you clearly state that they are jerks and will not get any further consideration. then you see Bradley ranked 73, and your tune changes dramatically because you really thought they had left us out. Their analysis and evaluations are a whole other issue entirely....

so you now disagree and think they are not jerks....fine with me...but my tune never changes -- it's consistent for decades at a time....

..they were brought back into the discussion once they start talking Bradley -- then independent of any jerk-nature, their column at least momentarily returns to relevance in the eyes of the Bradley fan base, right?
But they sure can't be considered experts if they place Jake Warren on our roster...I think Jake Warren is one of those guys Bruce Pearl got in trouble for calling too many times......

I don't have any thoughts on them at all but you have to admit, judging from your comments, you may have jumped the gun on their overall credibility, right? Again, relevance is not the point. You give credence to something you said you wouldn't just six days earlier. You certainly can change your mind. I just thought it was funny how you made a big stink about them and then turned around and praised them once BU was mentioned. Kinda hypocritical, that's all. If Jake Warren is a 6'11" center, I'll take him.
