has Gordon ever said what his plans are after his freshman year. Right to the draft? Is he just 1 and done? And Grassman you haven't been around RB lately have you?

Gordon has always insinuated he is one and done.
If I was around RB, he'd have GREEN lips!

Bruce Weber can flat out coach! He will get the best from what he has, which to me is better than having a bunch of egostical NBA wanna be's.
I agree with this statement.
Elitist illini fans think they are entitled to top 10 recruits cause they have landed on the elite status for a the 05 runner up season.
If only they would look right in C/U and see the great coach they have, then they might feel comfortable in their future.
But no... many seem to think 1 year out of Gordon would take them to the promised land.
I will gladly eat crow if IU wins the Nat'l title with Gordon as a freshman.
I don't feel like we're entitled to top 10 recruits, I feel like to truly be an elite team, we need to get the great recruits to add to the great coach that will get the most from the players. If you look at the last five to seven years, Illinois seems to just be on the cusp of that elite status, and we haven't been able to overcome it. It looked like getting Gordon would be a big step toward that next level, but now it won't. I have no doubts that Weber will be able to take us there.
And along your lines questioning whether or not one year of Gordon is worth it, it'd be worth a shot, but he could get injured and there is no guarantee that a year from now Jamar Smith won't be better than him anyhow!
