Of course, since he's already proven his verbal is worthless, he could still change his mind.
And since he hasn't signed a letter of intent, he could still decide to go elsewhere.
and of course since even a letter of intent seems to be somewhat meaningless nowadays, he could reneg and go to prep school.

Sorry, but I have to get in one barb- I have been reading and hearing for the last few years about what superb recruiters Wayne McClain and Tracy Webster were. But when they thought they had Shaun Livingston, they lost him to Duke. When everyone said Jon Scheyer was all wrapped up for Illinois, they lost him too. Julian Wright was also said to be a lock for Illinois, then he committed to Kansas without ever setting foot in the state of Kansas. Then it was Brandon Rush that was sure to commit to Illinois because Wayne McClain was on him tight. Oops! Then it was Sherron Collins, then Eric Gordon, then Derrick Rose. There have been a lot more, too, like Justin Dentmon, who I hear Illinois really wanted. And Illinois spent a lot of time recruiting Oden, Conley, Scottie Reynolds, Ramar Smith, Dar Tucker, JJ Hickson, Mac Koshwal, Evan Turner, AJ Stewart, and many more. I am not saying they should get all of these, but it seems they never get their top targets and settle for marginal big 10 players like Chester Frazier, Marcus Arnold, Calvin Brock, Warren Carter, Shaun Pruitt and CJ Jackson. I hope their next wave of players is better, Bill Cole, Mike Tisdale, Brian Carlwell, Richard Semrau, but I have my doubts. Now that Bruce Weber doesn't have Bill Self's players around to depend on and to carry him, we'll see how good his recruiters are. From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."
And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."
