All were top head coaches from Big 6 power conferences who answered honestly and anonymously...
and the answers are astounding and show the minimal degree to which most coaches respect the NCAA and it's rules...
In fact the results here show that the NCAA is a travesty and a bunch of buffoons who can't get much of anything right...
The answers were pretty astounding...
almost all thought many coaches cheat, committing major violations
...1/5 of the coaches say that at least 25% of programs are "committing major violations" or "committing felonies.''
All believe there are consistent, intentional violations of lesser rules...
and 60% of the coaches said that recruits and their families/handlers are asking for big time "something in return"...and all of them KNOW it is going on!!
One coach even related that it had just happened to him THAT MORNING!!
and...ALL of the coaches interviewed...."said they lost a player because they chose not to complete the transaction."
Biggest problem -- agents and runners -- making demands wanting paybacks and jobs, etc...
The finally - "NO one" thought the NCAA had any chance to succeed in getting the sport cleaned up!!
NOT ONE of the coaches interviewed!!
AND get this for those of you who defend the NCAA and their fairness...
Many coaches said they.."thought the organization was little more than a
bureaucratic hypocrisy.
"The NCAA is stealing money from television and they don't want to kill the
golden goose,'' one said. "Look at the people on the NCAA committees. The
guys who are doing things the right way, they aren't on the NCAA
committees. Why is that?''
Then one coach said this about the NCAA investigators, almost all of whom are women...
"If the NCAA was serious, they'd hire someone who knew what they were
doing, not these women out here trying to get a husband.''
OMG ---- I rest my case about the NCAA!! not to mention they are hypocrites, too......
