Salukis had their media day yesterday, and it was disclosed that promising incoming freshman/redshirt (after doing an extra year of highs school at prep school) Chris Cornelius has a torn ACL, and will be undergoing surgery right away.
He might be out several weeks, or possibly longer.
Most complete ACL tears take 6-12 months to recover.
Bad break for CC, as he has already used up a redshirt year.

Speaking from experience, if the meniscus is damaged, it can take even longer. I had to be on crutches for 6 weeks post surgery and was physically healed in 9 mos, but it took me at least another 9 mos to fully trust the knee. Now it's actually my good knee.
