  • Trivia Quiz - Win a Prize

I will send out another nice collector set of the mid-1990's trading cards handed out at a game...Anthony Parker, Deon Jackson, etc...

simply identify the person in my avatar....she (or he) does have a significant connection to Bradley basketball...
and is quite a famous person in her own right.......

If nobody gets it after a while, I will add hints.........

nope and nope...keep trying....those were actually good guesses...
....I will give hints as we move along.......

This woman has her own Wikipedia page and would have been just as famous even if she had no connection to BU...so she's not famous because of who she is related to......

Marie Rios. She was an author. However, I don't know what the BU connection is.

If you save the picture to your computer it is titled as Tere Rios. A Google search of that name gives you everything you need.

Geez FWO! I'm probably 20+ years older than you, didn't touch my first computer until 1987, self-taught myself, and I figured this out. Get with the times man.

One of my more turbo geek characteristics is that I collect books. Mostly religious texts, and Early or first editions of American writers. While it isn't particularly rare, I actually found a 1965 edition of the Fifteenth Pelican at a used bookstore in New York at the end of May. Kinda long odds. I didn't realize she was at all tied to our braves thou. That is pretty neat. Good find T. I'll cede my half of the prize to B4L as the shipping would be a pain to where I am right now, and it isn't terribly likely they would make it, hehe.

CzechBrave - if you ever get back to Peoria or even to the US let me know---
I would be happy to have you as a guest at a BU home game...or send out a prize...

My college-age daughter is serving with a missionary group all summer in the Czech Republic, and still won't be back for over a month...and we've been reading a lot about where you're located..
She is helping set up mission camps (for teens to attend) all over, just left Vikyrovice and headed for Malenovice...she loves it over there...kinda like being in the "old world"...
