Justin Gant's father has now reportedly told Mike Pegram that it will be Indiana State..
He's a good player and a good kid...I hope he has a fine 4 years in college!

Me too. Nothing wrong with a kid staying with the local team! He should get some playing time as a Freshman and his folks will have no problems watching him play.

It appears to be legit -- Justin Gant, Class of 2011 to Indiana State...Jake Kelly will be gone, but InSU should have some nice young talent...but i am still not sure he's ready to step in and play as a frosh in the Valley....

note though that as in most years, 2010 had no freshmen on either the 1st or 2nd team All Valley, and no freshman front court player was in the top 15 scoring or rebounding...

It's OOOOOOOOFFICIAL...Gant is a Sycamore.....I think McKenna being gone may be a blessing in disguise...Lansing is a glue guy...great recruiter and a great leader...The players cared very little for McKenna and love Lansing....

Congrats Sycamore fans. Now, let's just hope ISU Blue can step up and add a measure of additional respect to the Valley.

In my world this would have been a perfect fitfor the Braves and no-need to worry about grades, but I think JG got lost in the suffle with murph being his contact and EB being gone!
I do not think JG was even here for a visit which is sad, would have made a world of difference in his decision!

I thought he was here and while watching a game at carver asked one of our board members to extend an offer from BU...

I think you're a little misguided here. ISU changed headcoaches and he still went there, so his choice was clearly not based on a single contact and had more to do with staying close to home. In addition we have a couple mutual friends and Gant has been leaning ISU for quite some time.

No, Justin never made a visit to Bradley, though they had planned to.

Great get for ISUblue and the Valley! I was somewhat hoping that he would end up at Iowa, but he is a great example of a player who will excel in the Valley but would have been a marginal Big 10 player.

I also had the chance to meet Justin 2 years ago and was very impressed with how well spoken he was...definitely a great kid as well as a great player.

who will out recruit us next?

                              Binghamton?

I am in such an anti-BU-hater mode tonight...sorry.

I don't think it's quite accurate to say that Indiana State "out recruited" Bradley for Gant.
