I like how the MO commitment page is gone now. Jumped the gun a bit on making that one I'd say...seemed like it was a little desperation rebound after JW rejected us just to calm the storm.

Let's try to not completely fall over yourself at the chance to make the moderators look like they have an agenda... When they treated the commitment like any other.

Is there not 3 people leaving after this year, creating 3 scholarships for 2011 plus one rolling over totaling 4 for 2011? With Dodie, SM, and AW all leaving that leaves 3 to start with for 2011, plus one from this year is 4.

I don't know where you are getting "two" 2011 scholies. There are 3 by my count not counting the one rolling over. So of the 4 we currently have total (counting the rollover), SH and DS should take 2 leaving 2 others. If you don't count DS and SH as signed that leaves 4, if they do count that leaves 2, there is no way to get 3 if both are committed. That is the confusion as to if SH is committed, because how else do you get 3 left for next year at this point? Lol you have me confused now.

I already told you how I was getting 3. I was mistakenly adding the one scholarship for 2010 to the two scholarships for 2011. As it stands now with our current roster and two verbals for 2011, we only have two left for 2011. Unless someone other than SM/AW/DD leaves the program or we use the 2010 scholarship or one of the two verbals backs out.

I'm just wondering if JL did the same thing I did and added the 2010 scholarship to the 2011 scholarships when he made the comment "It??™s three because we have one leftover from this year".

I was simply making a joke...I wasn't trying to make anyone look bad. I don't even know who started the thread I just thought it was funny we're still discussing the what if's when the page is gone. If the page is gone then somebody knows that's its pretty much a definite no.

How does you posting a link to a thread make me want to insert my foot into my mouth? The thread is gone if you go to the commitment page. It's still there maybe for recruiting so you can link it still but it is no longer in the commitment one so I stand by my post that it's gone...

edit: Oh yeah if you read some of the posts on that link you posted mckillip you'll see other posters also were debating if should be considered a "commitment".

Same goes to you DC, chill out, I was only making a poor attempt at satire. I didn't know that you made a page for every verbal commitment, I thought the trend was only for people with a letter of intent signed. I couldn't care less if MO doesn't come to Bradley..if he does great if he can't well we'll never know so. Even when I quit posting as much I still get treated like a dog.

10 - normally when someone posts a criticism of the moderating, as is true on just about any board in the universe...their post simply gets canned..
but yours was left up just to show how much they allow......but we still never hear the end to whiners that feel their free speech has been impugned..

Sorry I post things I regret sometimes too. But I am not buying the excuse. I can't see anything in your post that could have been meant as satire.

So basically you added the 2010 scholarship twice from what I gather. You counted it as one for next year and then also rolled it over. I gotcha I think finally lol.

It's possible I suppose, but I would think JL knows how many he has got.

I'm confused as to what you're saying. Did I break a rule where it would be worthy of deletion? What point are you trying to make? Tell me exactly who I was criticizing...a moderator didn't even start that thread.....so please tell me who I am targeting...

I'm glad you leave my posts up as a flagship for your free speech...and you are talking like you are a moderator when you have clearly stated that you are not. So whomever had the decision to delete my post but chose not to thank you for not infringing on my free speech that I so clearly b*tched about in my previous post somehow....I didn't know I was complaining about free speech in the others so thank you for enlightening me

mckillip read what i wrote again...i said specifically that you can link it still because the thread still exists in the "recruiting" forum but it no longer exists in the "commitment" forum, which is what I originally was referring to if you go back and read it. It's simple go to the recruiting page...and you will see it. Then go to the commitment page and you won't see it like you would have a few days ago..which is what my comment was directed at...and I'm wondering why we are still discussing this as if it's still a question of why he's coming...that's all

I don't regret it at all because the fact remains is that when I wrote it I had a grin on my face laughing that we are still discussing this when it is very clear he's not coming to BU. It was not an attempt to shoot down anyone and not a moderator especially...it's pretty clear on this board that my only real problem with a poster is with Tornado and he didn't start that thread and didn't even comment on it until the 2nd page or something...so again what agenda do I have on this? Believe what you want but it was indeed a poor attempt at getting a laugh..."yea we jumped the gun on this one bcuz we wanted to get over JW so badly...haha" I laugh at the JW thing to keep it from affecting me...deep down I'm p*ssed but if I laugh at it it means I don't care lol...that's all I meant
