Not sure how that statement means SH is out of the mix at all, in fact I took it as exactly the opposite.

The way recruiting big men for BU has been going this year, wouldn't be surprised to see MO turning up at Creighton this fall
Can't understand all the hysteria about BU losing out on recruits like JW, MO and JT...
After following some experts on this site for some time, everyone should know the MVC is a guards league and quality big recruits don't settle for teams in the MVC...
No need to worry about lack of productve big men at BU!BUilding for the Future

The article says 3 are left including the one rolling over. Well if they don't count DS nor SH it would be 4, if they counted both it would be 2, so something is off.

Is there not 3 people leaving after this year, creating 3 scholarships for 2011 plus one rolling over totaling 4 for 2011? With Dodie, SM, and AW all leaving that leaves 3 to start with for 2011, plus one from this year is 4.
I don't know where you are getting "two" 2011 scholies. There are 3 by my count not counting the one rolling over. So of the 4 we currently have total (counting the rollover), SH and DS should take 2 leaving 2 others. If you don't count DS and SH as signed that leaves 4, if they do count that leaves 2, there is no way to get 3 if both are committed. That is the confusion as to if SH is committed, because how else do you get 3 left for next year at this point? Lol you have me confused now.

I am just going to worry about this season and how KL Jr. and Teague are going to kill us.
look out for the other guys carmichael, mcdermott, etc....Last edited by Future Walk-On; 07-10-2010, 01:11 AM.

OTOH, Teague averaged 6.1 ppg and 4.6 rpg- those are roughly the kind of numbers David Collins had for Bradley. Not exactly worth the same level of "worry" as KL.

Remember Teague was a first year player and has great size and strength. If SIU returns to a defense-first philosophy, I see Teague as a serious weapon inside and a defensive stopper in the lane.
With Van Deest as another young center at Drake, it looks like the Valley has some real nice, young centers.

I will be surprised if we see both playing at the same time very much. I have seen Echenique play, and he has an impressive physique, but he is not as skilled offensively as Lawson. But if McDermott wants to play Lawson away from the basket, he'll be doing every other MVC team a favor.

If GE is better than Lawson, are you willing to predict he'll start right away over Lawson??
BTW -- over the past two years here are comparative stats....it's hard to make the claim from the stats...Lawson will be in his senior year, and Echinique will be in his 3rd year of college
Echenique -- 39 games, 122-231, 52.8%, 68.7% on FT, 8.3 rpg, 0.6 apg, 2.4 bpg, 0.7 spg, 9.18 points per game
K. Lawson -- 69 games, 287-538, 53.3%, 75.5% on FT, 5.8 rpg, 0.5 apg, 1.54 bpg, 0.4 spg, 10.81 points per game

Nice analysis, only 100% wrong.
We move recruits to the commitment page when they make solid verbal commitments, which MO did back in April. When we get word that the commitment is no longer solid, or in doubt because of academic issues, we move them back to the recruit page.
