Dave Reynolds has concluded that Bradley is not recruiting Michael Ocherobia any more. It was not confirmed by the BU coaches.

also - as long as Harris has not signed a LOI his scholarship is technically "still open"..
keep in mind that when we WERE recruiting MO, Coach Les' comments were
"I can't comment on that"
so why interpret "I can't comment on that" as NOW meaning we aren't recruiting him...

Either he doesnt know how many players are committed, he forgot or Harris is not getting a ride. If he is out recruiting he sure as heck better know what is going on with his commitments and ride available.

I don't think he's obligated to, nor wise to comment at all on recruiting...and in fact I'd even say he's fully entitled to be vague and possibly cryptic...
keep in mind, this is a local press that has twisted, turned, and stabbed coach Les in the back with the way they have reported lots things....the Ruffin story, the Prosser redshirt, the TB arrest, and even went after Coach Les for the simple way he answered questions about starters, injuries, etc...
Recruiting is an extremely tough, dog-eat-dog environment, and no coach in D-I would tip his hand by chatting with the press, so I guess I am astounded that the PJ Star would slam Coach Les with a stupid quip like this...
"For the life of me, I don’t know why it couldn’t have been said in a straightforward way."
..because this stuff is exactly what every coach keeps ULTRA-TOP-secret....so he isn't likely to want to blab it all to the press!!

T, didn't Les actually comment on M.O. in the BradleyFans chat? He was willing to answer then with a simple "Yes."
I get why he wouldn't want to comment directly to DR given the history. He also might not want to comment because he is going hard after C.C. and wouldn't want him to see that we are still holding out hope for M.O.
If he supposedly didn't qualify into BU, let's get C.C. and have some great guard play ready to roll when we lose our 3 best (arguably) guards.
I want one of the two..and if Darius Smith is considering us (which I haven't seen reported anywhere) that would be a great get, too. I trust the staff knows what's the best option at this point.

during the chat more than a month ago, he did cautiously state:
"We are currently recruiting Michael Ocherobia."
but things may have changed, and in fact, quite likely have changed since then...so I have no idea what the answer would be now...

Not sure how that statement means SH is out of the mix at all, in fact I took it as exactly the opposite.???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

My thoughts since we signed AD was that Ochereobia was an extreme long shot to get here. I wouldn't mind holding the scholarship for a 2011 recruit.Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
