I got to know Pierre quite well in his time at BU and got to met his family also-- and he was indeed a fine young man who ended up graduating with a Business Administration degree and doing well in life..
he took over a struggling record sales business and turned it into a success and is actually now considered a world-wide expert in blues records and hip-hop....

BTW -- the unusual medical condition Pierre had was thoroughly researched and the results were published in a scientific journal and even compared to the few other known examples of extremely well conditioned athletes who developed blood clots without any other clear cause, then ended their careers.

ESPN basketball commentator Digger Phelps is regarded as one of the most charismatic and opinionated analysts in the profession. And he was the same personality during his 20 years as the head coach at the University of Notre Dame. He also was allowed to participate and be honored during senior night festivities. Another reason to be proud.
