If I had asked a year ago what would make the fans of the Bradley Braves happy and what would finally put an end to the negativity about those who run the Bradley basketball program, I suspect the fans' answers would have gone something like this:
--win 20 games
--win several road games
--beat Drake
--Beat UNI
--Maybe even beat UNI on the road
--beat a ranked team
--beat a ranked team on the road
--stay out of Thursday night
--win some games in the MVC Tourney
--Get a post season bid
--draw thousands to see BU win on the road or in the tourney
--I know this is dreaming, but maybe even get a well deserved NCAA bid
--win a game in the NCAA, maybe even two, and somewhere even beat a good team, even a Top 10 caliber team
--finish in the rankings
--have such a glorious year that thousands of fans greet the team at the airport
--get some national publicity and have NBA scouts tracking our players and national writers calling to interview Jim Les
--again, I know this one is ridiculous, but I wonder if Jim Les could possibly coach well enough to be mentioned as a replacement for a coach that is a legend at a BCS-type school.
--recruit and/or sign players who are being pursued by the top programs in America
--get a BCS-type team like Iowa State to come to Peoria to play us
Can we go for a two-peat??
