Niagara has had more consistent and high level success than Ball State the past decade.

Sounds like Niagara really wanted him and made it happen, and Luke Dobrich's relationship with Booth paid off big time.

Ball State admins are more strict now because of the academic fraud that has taken place under one of the recent previous coaches.

Peoria Manual's Marvin Jordan has done his hometown fans proud...

In his new college team's very first game, Niagara played Wisconsin-Milwaukee...
Marvin started at point guard and had a nice stat line, 10 pts (2-4 from 3pt), 3 rebounds, 5 assists....in his very first college game ever!

Niagara is a very young team playing a lot of minutes with 8 freshmen and sophomores..and 3 of the leading scorers in their first game were all freshmen...

Niagara goes to play Georgia Tech tomorrow night..but I am happy to hear Marvin had such a fine debut -- even tho NU lost!

I'll be rooting for Marvin Jordan, NU, and Asst. Coach Dobrich this year. Good luck boys.

it's nice to hear a few mentions here and there (like last night in the Illinois-Texas game regarding DJ Richardson) of Peoria and the talent and players we have ...
but one thing to keep an eye on....note that the many "player rankings" that are coming out barely mention a single name of a single kid from Peoria or area...
Of the nearly 60 kids Chicagohoops lists in their rankings for the 2011 and 2012 classes, only TWO, Max Bielfeldt, who they rank 26th in 2011 and Donivine #22, are from anywhere within 25 miles of us..
Meanwhile THREE different kids at Manual have had several offers and just a couple weeks ago had Big 12/Big Ten in to see them...

Marvin Jordan is proving that a whole lot of programs missed on this kid...
He's a freshman putting up pretty good numbers and getting noticed..

Marvin scored 27 points in Niagara's 5th win of the season on Sunday:

He's had an up and down year but his game has picked up quite a bit recently. Just looking at the game log, it appears he's shooting the ball much better and/or his shot selection has improved compared to how he was doing earlier in the year.
