BUT....
One element not mentioned:
Sure to be a bunch of elitist Illini fans there as well.
No thanks. Even coming off a year where BU finished better than UIUC, I'd rather not rub elbows with....
having to be looked down upon (typical pompous bs from Illini, B10, BCS fans), having my team's season success discredited somehow (we got lucky or some bs), having my player's success discredited somehow (OB only got drafted so high cause the 19+ rule or some bs)...
Oh, and I heard once of how there is always one table of people who always get loud talking amongst themselves during the Bradley Coach's talk.... yea! That's the table I want to sit next to.
Do I need to go on?
I'll pass.
Enjoy.

I am sure I am wrong on ALL my views.

You'll have a great time....yes a SMALL few of Illini fans were rude towards MO one year but the crowd quickly told em to shut the **** up. You get guys like that everywhere.
But overall the majority of Illini fans and BU fans at this event pull for each other to SOME degree.....
With BU's run last year JL will "have the floor"....Weber is always a good and gracious participant.
We are at table 21.....

fish--
it's a yearly event sponsored by some local sportsmen's club,
held at the Lariat Club restaurant, and they not only allow smoking, but it's part of the evening where you get some cigars.
It's all about sports, some of the press is present, but mostly just fans asking questions & getting a capsul of info on the teams.
Generally the BU and Illiini coaches are invited, as they use the event to spike some local fan support in the Peoria area.
I have never gone, but dogsrus says if you go, wear some clothes that you might not want to ever wear again, and before you go into your house, strip down and throw them away, as they will have a distinct smoky odor.
