Lee Utt, a member of the 1953-54 Bradley basketball team that finished 2nd in the NCAA Tournament, and the MVP of the 1954-55 team, died Sunday according to this Dave Reynolds article in the PJ Star-

Rest in peace, Lee. How many remember watching that '54 NCAA Championship game? BU vs. LaSalle and Tom Gola. I think it was the first nationally televised NCAA championship game. The thing I remember most about it was that the first half was pre-empted by the IHSA championship ... DuSable vs. Mount Vernon, I think. I remember watching the high school championship game with the sound off and trying to get the BU game on the radio at 807 Peoria Ave.
