Open Dates for 2010-2011 Season!

Butler probably needs a cupcake game just to offset all the meat they added this season. Is the Butler series officially bought out now? We've played them something like 5 out of 6 years so I'd hope it'd continue.

Last time we went to Mississippi St, they hung a hundy on the board and ran us out of the gym.

I see no reason a series against VCU can't be arranged. DO IT. I think we present enough value to Dayton too. Do that too.

I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks. I was hoping we would have had much of our schedule done by now, but if not, VCU and Dayton are those upper level mid-majors that I always thought we should be going after if the BCS contingent wants no part of us. If the selection committee does not think VCU and Dayton are quality wins, well what can I say? Regardless we need to get more of these types of teams on our schedule to help improve our schedule strength, if for nothing else.

BU will probably try to find some stiff/stiffs to complete its 2010-2011 non con season so they can put the game/games in the new on campus arena without pi**ing off Carver Arena season ticket holders too much.

Butler backed out of the end of our last deal ....

in a thread on the Billiken board there's a recap of what Rick Majerus talked about in a radio interview and it says
that Majerus turned down a chance to play Butler home and home...and so I suspect now RM knows how dumb of a move that was...

and home and Majerus turned them down (admits he made a mistake) says
he wasn't sure if our fans would recognize how good they were and actually
turn out"
