  • Bradley's first opponent is ranked #1 in Nation

Winona State is the Top Ranked D-II school in the nation.
They play Bradley in Peoria on Nov. 1.

Their best player, Johnsburg's JohnSmith was a BU recruit at one time, and he finished last season as the most outstanding player in their NCAA Playoffs, and is a preseason D-II All American.

Bradley could get tested pretty hard in Ex. games.

Remember - these guys are coming in to flat out win. These games mean more to them than the rest of their season.

        It's all about making shots.

Winona State, Bradley's 1st exhibition opponent (Bradley plays them Wed, Nov. 1st at the Fieldhouse) is the consensus #1 ranked team in NCAA Division II, but Bradley's 2nd exhibition opponent is no slouch either.

Northwest Missouri State, who Bradley plays on Saturday, Nov. 4 in the first game at Carver arena, is ranked #7 in the preseason Div II poll. Ironically, they are coming off a season where they finished with a 22-10 record and an appearance in the Div II Sweet 16. Bradley was 22-11 and also made the Sweet 16 in Div I.

Winona State won the national championship in Massachusetts this past March, and return most of their roster...

One interesting player is 6'5" senior Quincy Henderson. He played at Creighton for a year or two before transferring to Winona State.

Good chance of that. Drake will be playing without the one guy they can least afford to be without.....Al Stewart. Stewart apparently has a minor ankle injury, and will sit as a precaution. In addition, backup point guard Adam Emmenecker is also sidelined with an ankle injury.

Freshman Josh Young, who is more of a '2', will start at the point for Drake.

But they are still a D-II team coming onto Drake's home floor, and I will put my peanuts on the Bulldogs solidly defending home court.
