  • PJ Star article about new BU assistant Jim Platt

    Dave Reynolds has a great article today about Jim Platt and his first 2 weeks on the job as Bradley's new assistant coach-

    Nice coverage -- give us more...

    btw - one line caught my eye...of all the places Jim Platt has been and the outstanding people he's been associated with...

    "Coming to Bradley, I see Jim’s long-term investment here. He doesn’t just coach at Bradley;
    he’s invested for the long term here. I love that. College basketball has become a little bit
    of a scattered world. It’s important for me because I feel I’m a part of something that’s been
    invested in over time. But it’s also important for recruits who feel like they’re a part of something
    with a guy who’s invested in a program.”

      Nice article.......his addition to the staff can only be a positive one.

      Welcome, again, JP.

        That was a good article!

        Really enjoyed the last line......???I tell people I??™m just about ready to hit my prime. I have a passion for college basketball. The excitement of the days ahead is evident to me.???
        ???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

          I like that he's saying all the right things. I think (and hope) he will mesh and fit in nicely on JL's staff.

            I'm a big fan of defense, so I'm hoping he holds the key to turning our unit into the top defensive unit in the MVC.

              So we have Jordan Prosser and Jim Platt. We've got to think of different initials for one of the two.

                  Naw, players get the double letter abbreviation before coaches. Prosser is JP, Platt is Platt.

                      Agreed, very nice article. I also am looking forward to seeing what brings to the table, he seems like a guy who is going to add a lot to the team. I like how it seems him and JL are on the same page as well.

                      Welcome once again to Jim!
