Being the best or most talented player doesn't necessarily make you the leader. Leaders don't quit during the playoffs. And he had enough firepower to win 60+ games 2 years in a row, so I think he had enough to win with.

No one ever said the guy wasn't talented. Talent is talent. Plain and simple. Same reason people offer scholarships to guys with rap sheets, bad attitudes, and bad grades.

He is the best currently in the NBA....regardless of who's team Miami is...what does it matter....again....I don't care what single player you put on that Cleveland team last year other than Lebron...they weren't gonna win a title...be it Kobe, Wade..anybody...didn't have the talent.....they won the most regualr season games because of Lebrons motor...when many other teams were tired or just mailed it in on a regular season nignt because it didn't mean a whole lot (happens in the NBA..not right but it does). Lebron did almost all of it himself...but in the playoffs...when all the vets were locked in...ready to play for these other teams...you gotta have some help...and Cleveland just didn't have it.

I didn't say just points......He was a leader on Cleveland's team..just didn't have enough firepower behind him......It wouldn't surprise me at all if he becomes the best player on that Miami team...and leads them with his play.

Obviously you didn't watch the 2008 Olympics. If you did, you would understand how LeBron is going to take a backseat like he did to Wade and Kobe in Beijing. LBJ has proven who he is.

Wow. Just wow. How can a "leader" go on national television and rip the hearts out of the fans that loved him for 7 years? How can a "leader" not want to carry his team to a win whenever he gets on the court?

1st off...its not his job to placate the Cleveland fans....and Im talking about being a leader on the court....

In the 2010 playoffs Lebron averaged 29.1 pts, 9.3 rebounds and 7.6 assists...and not one player on his team voiced a problem with Lebron not caring or leading the team....Id say he was their leader.

And in the last 3 losses to Boston, he put up averages of 21ppg-11.7rbs-8assists.....and people say this guy quit?.....Looks like he played his butt off.

But hey...I guess Kobe's a great leader huh?....Demanding trades on the radio when all of sudden his team isnt stacked to his liking...ask the people in a certain health spa in Utah if Kobe is a leader, but hes one a few titles with loaded teams, oh wait, I forgot being a leader isn't all about what you do ON the court. Kobe would have whined like a 6 year old if he had to play with this team Lebron had in Cleveland and he would have left or made a clown of himself trying.

If you take Gasol and Jamison out of the equation (probably the 2nd best players on each team), I think that I would rather have the Cavs talent. Now does Jamison v. Gasol make that big of a difference when you figure the difference between Mo Williams and Derek Fisher and AP with Ron Artest? No.

The biggest difference between those two teams is the leader of the team and the coach of the team. Kobe is a much better player and Phil is one of the top 3 NBA coaches of all time.

As much as I love AP.....Artest is much better.....Fisher is a much better crunchtime player/decision maker than Mo Williams...and Odom is better than anyone the Cavs had as well.....How did those Lakers do for 2 years before they got Gasol?

My point was that it is debatable. Artest is probably a bit better, but Fisher v. Mo Williams is no contest. Odom v. Mo Williams talent wise would be a better comparison really.
