My guess at this point is that he will either be in Chicago or Miami. My money says Miami.
I would speculate the **** out of this......

I don't know anything about property taxes....but why on earth would he do this.....and it can't be a coincidence that he transferred his "stuff" to Chicago!

      • Chris Broussard, the ESPN reporter who broke the story that Bosh and Wade would sign with Miami (and he was right), is reported early this morning that LeBron will sign with Miami, too.-
All indications are that LeBron James will announce he's signing with the Miami Heat on Thursday night, according to several sources with knowledge of the situation.

It is also being reported by a New York newspaper-

And so far, the biggest losers appear to be the New Jersey Nets. They thought they were going to sign Carlos Boozer, and were surprised and a little upset when they heard he had signed with the Bulls.-

Yahoo Sports reprots it's between Miami and Cleveland, and that leBron's entourage spent much of yesterday calling the other available free agents to see which ones might be willing to reduce their demands to come play in Miami with him, Wade, and Bosh.
LeBron James' representatives have told officials and players they're planning for James to sign with the Heat.

The problem is that even with the rise in the salary cap, Miami would have little money to pay anyone else if they sign all 3. Right now the only 2 players the Miami Heat have under contract are Mario Chalmers and Michael Beasley. If James, Wade, and Bosh all sign with Miami, they will have to fill out their roster with a bunch of minimum salary guys, unless other free agents are willing to take a lot less to play there. Somehow I doubt those other free agents will be willing to take minimum salaries to be LeBron's valet in Miami.

Here is one more interesting rumor that arose last night- The Knick have a tentative agreement to sign and trade David Lee to the Golden State Warriors for Anthony Randolph, if they fail to land LeBron.-

this is a weird move, since the Knicks just overpaid to sign Amare Stoudamire, so they don't need David Lee. But Anthony Randolph is a 6'10" power forward who seems like a poor-man's Amare Stoudamire, something the Knicks don't really need. Randolph also averages roughly half the points and rebounds that David Lee averages. There are reports that the Kincks might also get Ronny Turiaf from Golden State in the deal, but he is also a 6'10" power forward-type with even worse numbers (4.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 47% free throw percentage). This will be interesting to watch.

they are either going to be very good, or they will have constant bickering about who's taking all the shots...

BTW - LeBron James is being sued in one of the most bizarre law suits I have ever read about...

The guy ..who would have been 29 years old, when LeBron's then-15-year-old mother became pregnant with LeBron..
claims his own paternity test was rigged by Lebron to deny him paternity and the megabucks he figured it might gain him even though he's never been a part of LeBron's life.
If this guy wins, then I think I am gonna get me a good lawyer and try to figure out which millionaire actor/athlete I look most like...

Boozer will not need the ball as much and will be content with his last big contract and not worry about his scoring average. If the Bulls pull off LeBron and find a shooter either Korver or Allen I'd have to say they will become the favorite by a wide margin to win the Eastern Conference. They would also match up very well against the Lakers.
With the core being Rose, Gibson, Noah, Deng and Boozer. That is a very competitive team and barring injury can be a top 4 team in the East. They have enough space for another Max deal but they would be crazy to give anyone else who is a free agent anything close to a max deal.

So now you look at this roster and say what is needed... pretty obvious a shooting guard... Korver or JJ Redick. Do you resign Brad Miller... I would say yes. If he is not resigned Id make a push towards Luis Scola or do you maybe make a return to Tyrus Thomas? Id also like to look at Matt Bonner.

They also will need guard play at the point, there is plenty out there... Raymond Felton?

I just do not want them to throw max money at anyone else unless they can somehow get involved with a trade who can possibly be a max guy... Granger, Al Jeffeerson? Not sure who they can trade so that probably is not going to work.

So it comes down to who gets the needed pieces to complete a team that is ready to win.

            • Time to rename 'The King' as 'The Frontrunner'. I guess it makes sense, his favorite teams were the Yankees, Cowboys, and Bulls growing up. Never thought the most talented player in the league would want to be 2nd chair. Weird.

That's why I won't believe it until he says where he's going. This could easily just be a smokescreen.

I just can't imagine a guy who manufactures a primetime announcement of his decision would announce that he's going to a team with other big stars. It waters down his brand and negates the purpose of the TV spot.

I am kind of share your thoughts. It just doesn't make sense to go there, and with all the BS we've heard the last 2 weeks or so, this being false wouldn't surprise me in the least. Day by day the NBA gets closer to WWE than actual sport.

And I can't post this article on here because of the title, but there's an article on Deadspin about Lebron that I think sums it up better than any thus far.

If I were saying Tracy McGrady then yep a big ole smiley for him. I did not dislike TT as much as others, I think he has more ceiling to get to but with him its all between his ears. But the locker room is already going to be volital with Boozer, I cant even imagine how bad it would be by bringing Thomas back.

I know they are not going there with him again, but as far as free agents remaining his talent level is better then most of the rest remaining.

                      • Carmelo Anthony will be a FA next year! The core players are very young and if they can pick up Korver this year, start building a decent bench I'd have to say they will be one of the top 4 teams in the East right now and in a few years the sky is the limit.

funny how well the Sox are doing and nobody seems to notice and you can't find any of them on the AS team (except Thornton)

Not to take anything away from Danks, but he didn't outduel Strasburg. A matter of fact, he didn't even face Washington.

Same thing with the Padres. They have the 2nd best record in the NL and are leading the NL West by 2 games. They had 1 all-star (Ad Gonzalez). And just recently got a 2nd one in Health Bell, who is on the roster ONLY because Milwaukee's Gallardo is injured.
