I'm generally pro-salary cap, really anything that creates parity NFL-style, but I don't think I have a problem with what Bosh, Wade, LBJ, etc. are doing. Other than the fact I'm bored to tears with it and just want it done that is.
I was just coming here to post this very same thing. I have no problem with the players choosing who they want to play with if there are owners able/willing to pay them. I have a feeling the people that do have a problem with it would not be voicing their displeasure if these three (or two of the three) had decided to play together in Chicago.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I'd feel the same way if they were coming to play for Bradley. What these three are doing is just wrong, IMO. They'd all be screaming to Holy He!! if the owners tried this cr@p on them.

Agreed that there wouldn't be the displeasure, however it still wouldn't have made the perception of collusion any different.

So...signing someone to a 6 year contract then trading them away in say 3 years is not deceitful?..the player didn't sign up for the team he was traded to.....Look..if the owners don't like what these guys are doing don't sign them to your team...oh wait...the owners wouldn't make any $$ without the players?...woops

I'm of this opinion, let the market do what it will. If tons of players weren't signing as a group to get more money? Collusion. But picking where they play? I think it is natural to want to be surrounded by good players. Why would DWade resign with Miami and HOPE Bosh goes there when he can insure he has a quality big man? If the players are good enough teams will take them as a package deal, I'm ok with that.

            • BREAKING NEWS - Carlos Boozer has agreed to terms with the Bulls on a 5 year/$80 million dollar deal. This leaves enough money to sign a max free agent such as Lebron James.

Also, rumors swirling that Lebron's marketing company is changing their address to Chicago. This is far from over methinks...

                • Boozer in some ways may be a better fit with The Bulls then Bosh. Boozer will not need the ball as much and will be content with his last big contract and not worry about his scoring average. If the Bulls pull off LeBron and find a shooter either Korver or Allen I'd have to say they will become the favorite by a wide margin to win the Eastern Conference. They would also match up very well against the Lakers.

I agree completely, I still like the Lakers top to bottom, but the east would be theirs.

I agree too....the best place for Lebron to WIN next year is Chicago....I mean nobody else comes close I dont think....and Im not even a Bulls fan. One of the best young point guards in the league...a Center who doesn't need the ball to produce.....A very capable Power Forward in Boozer who can score and defend..throw Lebron in this group and lookout Eastern Conference. I think this would make them much better than Miami...and better than Orlando....Boston, if healthy and if they get Ray Allen back is still a beast..but this would make Chicago a very, very tought out.....I still think the Bulls with this group would need a spot up shooter..but somebody who can do that can be found.

Hard to argue with the Lakers on that one too.

But the Bulls are winners in free agency in my book now. They're either going to shock the world and land the ultimate prize tomorrow, or will eventually end up with the deepest team in the East. It's a good day.

                        • Take this FWIW - LBJ has changed the address of his taxes on his estate from an LLC in Cleveland to a firm in downtown Chicago. Could be nothing, but worth posting regardless.

The news today about the LeBron James sweepstakes has been fast and furious. Sources all over the place are claiming that he's headed for the Knicks, or the Heat, or staying with the Cavs. The...

I don't think the only person in the world that LBJ would tell where he's going would be his accountant.

This may only mean that he has ruled Cleveland out and is having his financial affairs managed by the Chicago firm. I would not speculate that it means he's headed to the Bulls. Maybe only that he is definitely leaving Cleveland.

My guess at this point is that he will either be in Chicago or Miami. My money says Miami.
