Bosh will not want to be the 3rd option either! Ray already is with The Celtics but I also would rather have Korver right now.

I would too, but I don't know if he'd just take the mid-level exemption. He could probably get a long-term deal somewhere worth more.

Has Allen griped at all about his shots when he's been playing with Pierce, Garnett, and Rondo for three years? If you like Korver more, that's fine. Don't just make things up and pass them along as fact to support how you feel.

Easy man, jeez. I said 'may', I didn't say 'would'. Where did I ever say it was fact? Are you the guy's brother or something? Relax.

I listen to 670 the Score pretty much every day and all I am hearing is that when the Bulls traded Salmons they opened up enough space to sign two MAX contracts guys this offseason...

That was dependent on where the salary cap was set. Consequently it wasn't set high enough for 2 max deals unless one of them was a sign-and-trade. I believe the Knicks are and perhaps the Clippers are the only teams with the ability to sign 2 max players. I know for certain that without a trade, the Bulls can only sign one max player.

Watching former BU players is the only reason that I would watch an NBA game for now.

                        A little more speculation.

A source with direct knowledge of the Bulls' front-office plans says the team believes it has the right players in place to surround LeBron James -- but has not discussed bringing Kentucky coach John Calipari in with James as part of a package deal.

The bit of math I've done trying to understand it indicates that the Bulls really don't have enough space for two max contracts and the rest of a team. One outcome I think I'd like would be for LeBron and David Lee (who I don't think will get a max contract). Lee could give you an offensive threat and another guy with a penchant for rebounding to play next to Noah. With no other changes your lineup could be Rose, LeBron, Deng, Lee, Noah.

-- of course, I'd really like to see Rose, LeBron, Bosh, random shooting guard, and Noah on the floor. To do that you have to get creative capwise, and also answer the question of if Bosh wants to share THAT much (I personally think he does). You really have to move Deng at that point (maybe for a washed up SG that's also overpaid) for the future's sake.

It's really going to be interesting... And I believe any result in which LBJ comes to Chicago (which provided he's leaving Cleveland, I think Chicago is the most logical destination) turns Chicago into a championship favorite, regardless of other moves.

Two max players would require the trade of either Deng or Hinrich.

The Bulls have about $31 million tied up for 2010-2011. Source

The cap is expected to drop to "between $50.4 million and $53.6 million for the 2010-11 season" according to a league memo reported on by ESPN.

So the Bulls will have about $20 million in cap space. A max contract for one of these guys is about $18 million per year, so to sign another top guy, they will need to work a sign-and-trade.

I really hope that the Nets don't get the first pick. I would hate for them to get John Wall and make a big push for Calipari and LeBron.

Also, did anyone listen to The Score this afternoon? Apparently there was an "incident" between Delonte West and LeBron's mom that some say has caused a rift between LeBron and many of his teammates. The more stuff that comes out, the more it sounds like he's leaving.
