Looking into the old crystal ball, that was said about a certain someone around 20 months ago... waiting on some HS documents.

      Never easy apparently.

Need to get someone from the Valley/Valley Schools in a position in the upper echelons of the NCAA Organization...

        OR

The Valley needs to step up to the plate and publically call out the NCAA on behalf of their member schools. Can't get any worse than it currently is with the NCAA....

If the delay is due to not receiving certain HS documents, why would that be the NCAA's fault?

the usual HS documents (as was the case with Wilkins) are generally available ... but it has always been the insistence by the NCAA for further, minute, and almost impossible to produce documents that has uniquely always been the demands required of Bradley...
..the case of John Wilkins was one where they demanded to see obscure Belgian records from his freshman year and were unwilling to accept the French copies of those records...
I can assure you that if the info were all openly known, that it would be clear that Bradley has always been treated differently and via a different set of rules than other schools seem to be when it comes to issues like this.
The rulings from the NCAA smack of bias, pettiness, and vindictiveness...but you are free to decide as you wish...

recap -- 20 other kids in the past couple years from the Canarias Basketball Academy have signed with D-I and other American NCAA schools, and every one was deemed eligible immediately and without delay...EVERY ONE...not one had a hold up, a penalty, an adverse ruling, nor even a hint of difficulty getting into and getting qualifed fully at the NCAA institution he went to....so again....you decide........

              Perhaps.

I suppose that one could just as easily argue though that perhaps Bradley's compliance department must not be handling the process correctly, if, as you claim, every other single school in the entire country doesn't encounter the same delays.

How many of the 20 kids were from Nigeria? Usually anything from Nigeria coming to the US involves closer scrutiny.

???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™

you could claim what you want, and I don't know every detail...only what one hears....yes - there were delays that were completely out of everyone's hands as the Belgians seems to drag their feet repeatedly....

but it was the unexpected requests of NCAA for more and more documents that were NOT requested initially that foiled JW's chances at BU...and even pushed back the timetable so that JW sat in limbo from summer of 2008 all the way through January 2009 before the NCAA finally denied Wilkins eligibility...

BU did perfectly comply with every NCAA request, but they kept coming back and asking for more and more as if on a witch hunt, knowing they were gonna stall this process the way the Belgians take their time.......until they cited stuff that nobody could come up with.

In unofficial reviews of whether the NCAA has ever requested or required such documents on other Euro or foreign kids...I have been told this witch hunt was rather unique and overly exhaustive...but who really knows all that goes on there??
You can take it for what you want...but I prefer to believe even the statements that did come from the few legit sources that BU did everything they could against unsurmountable obstacles...

Would bu fans have rather had Wilkins eligiblility ruling rushed by the NCAA, sign the NLI, played and been successful for a season- then, for whatever reason, the NCAA finds something that was missed originally and all the games Wilkins played in ruled a forfeit? Seems like that would be a possibility if all the t's were not crossed and i's were not dotted.... "but you decide"

Bradley already got 1 player's LOI this period- Walter Lemon-

It's looking like they might not be any others.

Sorry Coach, I meant an additional signing . Hopefully it will fall into place like it has in the past (e.g. TB). I am pretty excited about Lemon though, sounds like a hard nosed player and I'm looking forward to seeing him play in a BU uni.

So what is the latest on M.O; this is looking more like the Wilkens saga in that his grades have not been ok"d for him to play.
