If you get the first pick... do you take John Wall? He's clearly very talented and will probably be a very good NBA player.... I'm assuming he'll be a Derrick Rose type of NBA player.

But... Evan Turner put up incredible numbers and could definitely give Wall a run for his money as #1 pick. He could be the Kevin Durant of this year's draft.

Also, Wall's teammate Demarcus Cousins was only a freshman and has some MAJOR upside...he probably won't make as immediate of an impact as Wall, but he could definitely become an NBA star very soon.

    So... Who do you pick?

I would think there would be no question. Take John Wall. If Derrick Rose was in the draft, still take John Wall.

I think Wall will go #1.
Turner is close, but his physical strength and conditioning are thought to be what NBA people are a little wary of.

Cousins probably would be #1, but he is a bit of a head case. He reminds me a little of a bigger version of Michael Beasley. He could go as high as #2 or several spots lower.

I look at Wall and I see a taller less baggage version of Allen Iverson. I see Turner and with the right conditioning he can become another Kevin Durant. So who do you take? I like Turner's versatility and in the long run he will be able to offer more then being a speed guy. He already has a better outside game. Cousins is a beast and will go to the first team that really needs inside help. If the Wizards get a top 3 pick he's gone.

I would definitely take Wall... I think he's a consensus #1 pick. Still, if I had the #2 or 3 pick, I would be happy to take Turner or Cousins. This isn't necessarily the strongest draft, but there are some very good players at the top.

I'd probably take Wall, but I'm skeptical any of the top 3 will have a long NBA career. Who's ever got the #1 next year, better give our Sammy a serious look!

I think Turner could have a great career. He's SO versatile. In the NBA he could play the 1-3 and he can even post up in a pinch. 6-7 2-guards with a shot and driving ability and a killer instinct usually do pretty well, just ask Chicago fans (or 6-6 )

Wall would be the "safe" #1 pick, but I think Turner holds the potential to be a more multi-dimensional star like a Scottie Pippen due to his size.

OK, you talked me into it. Turner does have some upside. My biggest concern with him though, were all the poor shooting nights I seem to witness. However, I haven't done any research on him outside of that, so perhaps the games I witnessed were not the norm.

It should depend on who has the first pick and what their needs are. I like Turner and his ability to play multiple positions as well as PG, he also has shown that he is one tough player. Cousins has a NBA body already and has the ability to help someone from day one who needs an inside presence. Wall offers a ton of speed and would be a perfect fit for the Knicks or Warriors type system.
