If roadies at UIC and Drexel materialize, that would mean we have:
    @WCU, @UIC,@drexel, @bracketbuster
Home-loyola, NIU, Utah, 2 cream puffs
    Neutral- USC,New mex st

Gives us one more date to fill. This is hardly an impressive non-con. we'd really need to be 10-1 or 9-2 at WORST to have aspirations of at -large and no worse than 2nd and 13-5 in conf, and a title game appearance in st louis. 24-8 MAYBE gets it done. anything less is NITing for sure.
Here is some information I got directly from Bobby Parker in the Bradley Athletic Department; hope it clarifies some issues about Bradley's schedule next year that have been mis-stated-
There is no game scheduled against UIC or Loyola for next year.
So far, the only games definitely on the schedule are four games in the HOF Tip-Off Tournament (2 home TBA’s and vs USC and UMasss/NMSU in Springfield, MA), home versus Northern Illinois and Utah and road games at Western Carolina and BracketBusters. That is a total of 8 non-conference games already scheduled. There will also be 18 conference games.
That leaves four more non-conference games left to schedule, which they are working on.
Also, as far as Butler goes, according to BP, Bradley reached the end of the contract with Butler. There is currently no plan to play Butler again, though that could change in the future.
And, the plan is to return the BracketBuster game at Drexel in the 2011-2012 season, not this coming year.

The simple fact this is the week before T'giving week increases the opportunity for TV and national exposure. It sound great to me.

All of this non-conference schedule talk is nothing compared to the MVC conference schedule. I just want BU to focus 100% on winning the MVC and MVC Tournament and that will take care of our NCAA birth right there.

Too bad about the Butler deal ending. I was really holding out hope for that to happen. Now what about Xaiver, Dayton & Cincinnati?

I like what we're doing. So if not UIC or Loyola, why not play DePaul at the Allstate Arena. I think the last game we played with them was in Peoria so lets start up another two game series. I think we're buddy/buddy with them, and did do a scrimmage with them last year, and I think we've won the last 3 or 4 games so maybe they'd like to attempt to take the bragging rights back. But JMHO, a big time college in central Illinois should always try to play a game in Chicago every year.

One other tournament next season has released their list of teams involved.....

The St. Louis writer describes the field as...
"not the most inspiring field you??™ll see for a college basketball tournament"
"SLU coach Rick Majerus has said they thought they were going to get a better field, but recent unrest in Mexico scared some teams off."

              .......what a complete joke!!

The ESPN sponsored....Cancun Governor??™s Cup to be played Dec. 22 to 24.
              Appalachian State
              Colorado State
              East Tennessee State
              Ole Miss
              Northeastern
              Saint Louis University
              Southern Mississippi
              Texas State

Rider's 2 road games will be at UMass on Nov. 12, and at USC on Nov. 17.-

Any idea when the other 3 non-major teams will be decided for this tourney?

The only word on who the other schools are in this tournament is that they will be announced "at a later date". Nothing has been announced yet.

As long as you do not venture into the wrong places Mexico can be pretty safe. I use to do business down there and I use to pay the cop in font of our building to get me my cab. He would check their license and take down their license plate number just in case anything happened.

SFP, I have lived in Mexico for 8 years now and I can tell you Mexico City used to be somewhat safe. Things have headed the wrong direction the last year or so and its pretty bad right now............

So slow during the off season that this UMass fan is paying a visit. The MassMutual Center was recently renovated and holds around 6,600. They do sell beer and the Basketball Hall of Fame is a ?? mile away and is very nice. Yes we have struggled and maybe putting too much emphasis on how we do with four new players and a true freshman point guard. A few thousand faithful will show up. It’s early and still waiting on ticket info. However, a poster on the UMassHoops.com says the Sheraton is sold out and made reservations for the Marriot.

                          Good luck on your season!

Last news item from the Hall of Fame and the MAAC is holding their conference tourament their and hence Rider participation

My niece and her husband went to what was then Western New England U., which is in Springfield.
He was a legend there, Rod Butler, averaged 29pts and 19 boards his senior year
