  • National Junior College All Star Game

Game was held in Las Vegas....the National All Stars played the Local group of NJCAA All Stars...

    The Nationals won 91-80...
Mizzou recruit Ricardo Ratliff was a stud...scoring 29 points on 13-17 and 9 rebs!!
Southeast Iowa teammate of John Wilkins Norvell Arnold was not a stud...went 0-5 and scoreless in 24 minutes.

Marquise Carter was 3-8, 8 pts, NO assists, 4 turnovers.

Matt Pressey, another Mizzou guy was 3-8, 10 pts, 6 rebs

BUT despite the numbers from Ratliff...something a bit odd occurred, the coaches in attendance did not vote him the MVP - that award went to Josh Watkins of Howard College who had 14 pts..

In the other game that pitted the D-II NJCAA All Stars against the D-III All Stars, the Division II All Stars got beaten and humbled by the D-III All Stars...
this is kinda like the NBA All Stars getting beat by a bunch of college kids!!

In the game, Joliet's Brian Bradley was 5-9 and 3-6 from 3pt for 15 pts, and ex-Iowa State Cyclone Marcus Brister had 19 pts/7 rebs and the MVP award for the D-III guys.

For the D-II guys, Lincoln's Chris Ware was 4-12, 10 pts,
while Kurt Alexander of Iowa Central was a late scratch and didn't play.
